RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS
Oklahoma statutes and administrative rules allow for reciprocity agreements in the
plumbing, electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and roofing trades when the licensing
requirements and scope of work of another state are substantially similar. Oklahoma
currently has reciprocity agreements for electrical journeymen licensure with Alaska,
Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas
and Wyoming. Oklahoma is working with other states pursuing reciprocity in all these trades. Reciprocity information is posted on the website. Please contact the agency to confirm current reciprocity agreements.
